Mars Suit (2022)
Inspired by the iconic 'Life on Mars' suit worn by David Bowie, this morning coat and pleated trouser ensemble was made for the one and only Camden Champagne. This baby-blue beast was cut in a mechanical stretch, and lined with rich, red satin brocade.
Training Cap (from 'Starship Troopers')
A millinery commission based on a screen used accessory from cult film 'Starship Troopers' (1997). Excluding the embroidered patch, the rest of the piece was drafted and manufactured from scratch, in order to match a uniform that the client already owned.
Containers for Change (2020-22)
Commissioned by Containers for Change, this mascot costume is easily the biggest piece I've made, to date. It was constructed out of soft foam for the body, reinforced steel for the structure and sculped EVA for the metallic elements.  The initial design for the character was designed by myself in 2020, and this is the second version I've made of the costume.
Ash (from 'Alien') Nostromo Uniform
This was a fairly research-heavy commission, but one I gladly took on! Alien is one of my favourite films and it was an absolute pleasure to meticulously pattern the uniforms of the Nostromo crew.
Wild Kat - 'Mx Burlesque' 2020
In 2020 I had the pleasure of manufacturing this fitted velveteen number for the ever red (and stunning) Wild Kat, complete with a luxurious fur stola. Commissioned for her performance in Mx Burlesque Western Australia, it was a pleasure to work on such an iconic set.
'Ghostbusters II', Venkman Jumpsuit
Based on the jumpsuits seen in the 1989 film "Ghostbusters II", the beige of the first film were cast aside in favor of an edgier dark grey. Having seen a lot of other cosplayers representing the classic costumes, my client wanted to stand out and they certainly did! I had a lot of fun researching workwear and patterning the pockets for this one, and nothing beats topstitching character patches.
Wild Kat - "Pooky" Peplum Skirt
For this piece I was commissioned to construct a fitted, peplum-style skirt, with small quality of life adjustments (i.e. a hole for poodle tail). Wild Kat knows how to keep things interesting, and it was a joy to make this skirt and knicker set.
SeaQuest (Season 1) Jumpsuit
Loosely based on Capt. Nathan Bridger's costume from the first season of 'SeaQuest' (1996), this is a piece that definitely towed the line between workwear and a tailored aesthetic. Better yet, I'd wager that much like my version, the original was cut in a dark poly-wool as well.
